How our cancellation policy works

Every booking triggers the allocation of a dedicated driver. The moment a driver is assigned to your job, they stop being available for other bookings and start moving towards your collection address. Consequently, the cancellation policy reflects the stage your driver has reached at the point you cancel — the further along the driver is, the greater the cost we have already incurred on your behalf.

Scenario 1

Before a driver is assigned to your booking

You receive a full 100% refund of your booking amount including VAT. No cancellation fee is applied. The refund is processed back to your original payment method.

Your cancellation request is received before a driver has been allocated to your booking — meaning no driver has yet been assigned and dispatched towards your collection point.

Scenario 2

Driver assigned and en-route to your collection

⚠️ What happens

You will be eligible for a 50% refund, subject to wasted journey mileage. The exact refund depends on how far the driver has travelled towards your collection point at the time of cancellation. In some cases, wasted mileage may reduce the refund below 50%.

📋 When this applies

A driver has been assigned and has departed towards your collection address but has not yet arrived. Mileage is being incurred on your behalf from the moment the driver sets off.

Scenario 3

Driver has arrived at your collection address

No refund
Full charge applies
❌ What happens

No refund is available. The full booking charge applies. Additionally, waiting time charges may apply if the driver is kept waiting beyond the standard 15-minute free allowance. If you need to send the driver to a different collection address, diversion charges also apply.

📋 When this applies

The driver has physically arrived at your collection address. At this point the full journey cost has been incurred, including driver time, vehicle costs and all mileage to reach your location.

Additional charges that may apply at this stage:
⏳ Waiting time charge

If the driver waits beyond the 15-minute free allowance — charged in 15-minute increments at £25–£40/hr depending on vehicle type.

🗺️ Diversion charge

If you require the driver to proceed to a different collection address — additional mileage is charged from the current location to the new address.

Scenario 4

Driver has arrived at the delivery address

No refund is available for the original journey. If delivery cannot be completed at the stated address (for example, if the recipient is not available), onward charges apply for any further travel or re-delivery required.

📋 When this applies

The driver has arrived at the delivery address. The full contracted journey has been completed. Any additional travel required — to a new address or back to the collection point — is a separate chargeable movement.

🔄 Onward delivery mileage

If the consignment needs delivering to a new address, you will be charged for the mileage from the current delivery address to the new address.

↩️ Return journey charge

If delivery cannot be completed and the consignment must be returned to the original collection address, you will be charged for the return mileage.

Tip: Always confirm your recipient is available and expecting the delivery — particularly for time critical bookings. If the recipient may be unavailable, advise us before the driver departs and we can make alternative arrangements before charges are incurred.
