Speedy Travels have taken us to a couple of our most frequented towns in Dorset. This week we head west into Devon, visiting Newton Abbot.
Newton Abbot is a market town in the Teignbridge District of Devon with a population of 23,580.
Newton Abbot provides good access to Dartmoor National Park and the whole of the South Devon coast. Each year at the start of September, Newton Abbot holds a Cheese and Onion Fayre in honour of Saint Leonard. It’s twinned with the towns of Besigheim, Germany and Ay-Champagne France.
Newton Abbot’s Farmers’ Market runs every Tuesday from 9am until 3pm.
